UPRTOU has opened online admissions for its undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and research programmes for the 2026–27 academic cycle. Ph.D. Admission 2026–27: Eligibility and Fee Structure

Ph.D. applications are submitted exclusively online via the Ph.D. entrance portal. Applicants can apply under either the Entrance Test Exempted category or the Entrance Test category.

  • Master’s Degree: 1-year/2-semester master’s after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s, or 2-year/4-semester master’s after a 3-year bachelor’s degree with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer/Differently-abled/EWS).
  • 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree: Minimum 75% aggregate marks (70% for SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer/Differently-abled/EWS).
  • M.Phil. Degree: Minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grade (50% for reserved categories).

General Programme Structure and Fee Policy

Starting from July 2024–25, undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes follow a semester system in compliance with NEP-2020 guidelines. A dedicated fee discount is offered to students who select online study material (SLM) instead of printed books.

A separate registration fee of ₹500 is charged during registration form submission. Examination fees are not included in the initial course fee and are collected when submitting examination forms. Note that the Certificate Course in Single Subject has been suspended with effect from the 2026–27 session.

UPRTOU has not published course-specific fee amounts for general UG and PG programmes on its site as of 02 October 2026.

How to Register Online for Admission

First-year distance learners must complete registration through the UPRTOU Samarth admission portal or via specific direct registration forms such as the MA-Yoga registration form.

  1. Go to the UPRTOU Samarth admission portal and click on ‘NEW REGISTRATION’.
  2. Select your Regional Centre, Study Centre, Course Type, Programme Name, and Programme Year.
  3. Fill in personal details including Student Name (English and Hindi), Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Religion, Category, Territory, and Aadhar Number.
  4. Provide your unique Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID and DEB ID.
  5. Enter complete mailing and permanent addresses along with a valid Mobile Number and Email ID.
  6. Input educational details for High School, Intermediate, Graduation, and Post Graduation, specifying the Board/University, passing year, marks obtained, percentage, and division.
  7. Upload required scanned documents and submit the online application along with the ₹500 registration fee.
